Reflections... Inaugurazione Meykadeh

L'inaugurazione di Meykadeh ieri e' stata un succeso.... E' stato un giorno completo con caffe', biscotti, fragole al cioccolato, degustazione di te', spettacolo di Grey il mimo, musica originale di "Ascensore", l'Artefatto Artigianale di Mario Lovergine.

A parte la festa e le attivita', cio' che piu' e' stato importante per me e'stata l'affluenza della gente, dai clienti abituali del Meykadeh, ormai diventati cari amici. E' stata un gioia anche per conoscere tante persone nuove, intervenute perche' hanno letto la mail sulla mailing list, o sono stati portati da amici, o che per caso sono passati e hanno visto un posto carino, suggestivo, intimo e piena di vita.
Qualunque sia il motivo per cui eravate qui, alla fine ho apprezzato i gesti, il contributo prezioso della vostra presenza che ieri ha dato significato alla parola "Meykadeh".... finalmente la trasformazione e' stata completa, un luogo di ispirazione, conversazione, una taverna, e un posto dove stare bene...

Grazie ancora a tutti coloro hanno contribuito.... Andrea Bianchini della Bottega del Cioccolato con il suo team, Marcela di Tealicious, Luigi (Grey the mime), i musicisti Tony Biscardi e Iacopo Badini di Ascensore, Mario Lovergine (vero artigiano), The English Bookstore, Giorgi Libri, Radu, Poalo Contaldo, Gabriele Ametrano....e l'intera famiglia del Meykadeh (Iacopo, Vale, Reza & Jafar), i nostri amici e tutti coloro che hanno condiviso con noi la festa.

I'm happy to announce that the opening party last night at Meykadeh was a big hit. It was a day complete: coffee, biscuits, cakes & chocolate covered strawberries, a tea party, a show by Grey the mime, live & original music by Ascensore, the art exhibition: Libri Aperti by Mario Lovergine, and of course the flow of drinks in the evening with buffet.

Aside from the festivities and activities what touched me the most was the people I was surrounded by the whole day - our regular visitors to Meykadeh, who we have become friends with in a short time, as well as having the opportunity to meet a whole bunch of new people. Whether propelled to drop by because they received an email as part of our mailing list, or were dragged along by friends, or who just happened to stumble by and saw a place that is stylish, different, intimate and full of life. Whatever propelled you all to drop by and partake in our special day, I appreciate the gesture of offering us your valued presence.

Finally the transformation is complete, you all have given "Meykadeh" the significance of it's true meaning: a place of conversation, of coming together, of inspiration, and where people feel at ease.
